Amendments To The Monthly Vow

The plan is now changed.

So I slept more than I had intended to yesterday, so was awake all night, I magnets the shoulders of the Contemptor and the guns, using the Storm Lord Kheres assault cannon arm as a base, so all future Contemptor weapons can be interchangeable

And I've also gone and bought a metal Caseterferrum Venerable Dreadnought and the Deathwatch dread ( bad Proxy), the metal Venerable is coming from America so that, and the other dread & the plastic Contemptor are now bumped to next month, the Redemptor Dreadnought will be done this month and I'm still buying the Chaplian this month, the Hellblaster box is now bumped to September - October.

Big Fella

Finally got the assembly finished of the Redemptor Dreadnought, sized next to a plastic Contemptor that also has the onslaught heavy gatling mounted, that was just to see how it looked but I'm now thinking about it for the Storm Lord.

From Facebook During The Open Day

From adaptus astartes page, via Lords Of War

- Talked to the fw designers about titanicus. Its been pushed back for necromunda
- Paladin knights are the smallest models for it at the size of a catti terminator
- Reavers are contemptor size ish
- The warlords is between the redemptor and knight size
- And the warlord is going to be just shy of the knight
- The emp will ether be in scale with the rest at the size of a lancer or be a more manageable size tbd
- But all will now be in plastic because its been delayed
- And all of them are fully pose able but with tabs like the redemptor has
- Also the necromunda bases are Designed to fit with the mortis boards and will be their own pack at some point
- And the FW design studio is re working all aircraft atm bar the transporter
- Was talking to the tau designer about thw orca and hes started to design it and is going for a thunderbird 2 stlye. With different pods for troops tanks and suits

Coming Soon

I know nothing about this, I'm guessing it's a promotional poster from the Open Day at Warhammer World.

Redemptor Dreadnought

First dread post in a while, and a vow broken.

This Dread is a pleasure to build, I was worried it would be a confusing bugger to build but I'm glad to report that it's a great kit. The guns on the hands are a good fit, I chose not to fit the pipe adapter into the fist so I can swop between the heavy flamer and onslaught gatling cannon.

The body is nice and those flat plates offer the potential for some nice conversion work, or free hand if you feel your painting is up to that.

The legs offer lots of posing potential.

And both BFG 's are fully interchangeable, but not sure if magnets will be needed.
I ran out of glue on the assembly last night, so had to leave Fat Albert unfinished, I'm also planning a second one for the Lion's Blades, and someone was asking if it could be made into a Furioso Dreadnought, which is could be, but you'd need to kits, and a I'm sure a Mortis pattern of thus would be a brown pants moment.

Monthly Vow 12th Of August To The 12th Of September

With the plan being somewhat vague this month I can't actually decide if I've done it or failed.

I started off the month with the brothers Squishy and the Interceptors of Squad 2.

I then polished off the second set from the Dark Imperium box set

At which point the Codex and other stuff came out, and I had to wait for a week for stuff to arrive.

I used the 2 of the 3 Intercessors as alternative Sgts for the Hounds and the 3rd as a paint test for any future Lion's Blades Primaris Astartes I do.
And lastly there's the . . . gorram Primaris Librarian

Those pipes around the arms will break off at some point, and the legs are a fun fit but it does look good.

So on to next month, what's the plan? Well I need the fat Albert dreadnought done for the end of September and I'm thinking of buying the Chaplian and a box of Hellblasters , half for The Lion's Blades and the others for the Hounds, could do with some more paint, which is a trip to either Preston or Manchester and hopefully with my 2 days off next week I can pick up a plastic Contemptor off a mate, watch Atomic Blonde and anything else I need to get done.

That Required A Bit More Effort Than I Expected To Put In

I started to assemble the Primaris Librarian last night, I'm not to sure if I got a leg wrong or not but the leg/groin/robe piece was leaving massive gaps in the robe seams to the rest of the body. It took a large amount of filing on the legs and inside of the robes to get it to fit together, and it doesn't look great now it's glued in place.

I'm painting this for the Hounds but he was a former Mentors Chapter Librarian.

Not a big fan of the easy build Reavors, there's a few body gaps on them.

Though they do look good when built.

I've built these 2 as alternative Sgts for a Reavor squad and an Intercessor Squad, these 2 are former Nemesis Chapter Sgts.

This one is a former Mentors Chapter Sgt.
It turned out I've left my cutters at home so can't cut the lugs off the shoulders to glue the arms in place, so will do that tonight , I'm also starting the Librarian tonight as well.

Alpha Legion are up to their tricks again.

Fresh From Forge World

This dropped while I was getting my first sleep this morning,

If you are down on the next ticket day at GW you can get a first look at these bad boys.

And a one day big ass burger

Reavors WIP

Got some work done on the Reavors last night.

I built the 2 lots of easy assemble Reavors yesterday, and base coated and nuln oil washed them this morning.

The 3 Intercessors are being done as 2 Sgts, one in Mentors colours the other one in Nemesis. The 3rd I'm still thinking of doing in The Lion's Blades colours.

New From Forge World 02/08/17

Once the Arcus strike tank was one of the most advanced support platforms available to the Space Marine Legions, but for reasons long since lost to the past, the Adeptus Mechanicus holds the pattern as a slight against the Omnissiah and refuses to produce or repair such vehicles. Without the specialised knowledge of the Machine God’s adepts, the advanced launchers of the Arcus have slowly failed and been replaced with more common rotary launchers and stocks of its rare warheads have dwindled. Now it is used by the Space Marine Chapters that retain examples of this rare pattern as a fast strike tank, racing it forwards to saturate a target area with incendiary devices of a more commonplace provenance and using its renowned speed to escape unscathed, enabling them to clear otherwise redoubtable bunkers and fortresses with brutal efficiency.

This multi-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble a Legion Sicaran Arcus Strike Tank. Sharing much of its details with the more common Sicaran Battle Tank, based as it is on the same chassis, this pattern is differentiated by the dual rotary missile launchers that adorn the turret. These are supplied with ammunition by dual curved missile feeds, with a sensor array at the front of the turret providing vital targeting data for the onslaught of explosives. Included are a wealth of other armaments with 2 heavy bolters and 2 lascannon on the sponsons, featuring targeters, ammo drums and shields, and heavy bolter mounted on the hull to the left of the hull’s hatch.

This resin kit comes as 44 components.

The Legion Sicaran Arcus Strike Tank is a Heavy Support choice for the Space Marine Legion army list found in The Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes – Age of Darkness Army List book, and an Elites choice with the following keywords in Warhammer 40,000: Imperium, Adeptus Astartes . Rules for fielding the model in both game systems are available as a PDF download.

Not too sure how these screen grabbes will work.

And now to watch Valaren.
